The County of Hawaiʻi announces that all non-emergency County services and operations will be closed on Friday and Saturday as a strong Kona low storm moves across the State and over Hawaiʻi Island. 

Closures for Saturday, March 14, 2026: 

  • County of Hawaiʻi Park Facilities
  • County of Hawaiʻi Solid Waste Facilities (Including Transfer Stations)
  • Mass Transit Agency - Modified Route Schedules

Emergency Shelters are open - visit our Hazard Impact Map for shelter locations.
